Southside Public Library

Welcome to the
Southside Public Library
The Southside Library opened in 2008 and is located inside the Community Center on Highway 77. Due to rapid growth, we have expanded into an adjacent room.
In 2010 the library added an automated system. Much of the current collection of books and other media have been donated by our local citizens. Our current 2011 collection totals over 10,000 items available to lend.
The collection includes books for all ages, both fiction and non-fiction, special collections of large print editions, Christian fiction, and Alabama authors, as well as a growing collection of books for children. There is also a nice assortment of books on CD and DVD movies.
The library has three computers for public use.
A reference section is being developed and already contains basic materials. Reference books are used within the library.
Our library offers free services to citizens of Southside and residents of Etowah County.
