The Southside Zoning Board of Adjustments will hold a special called Public Hearing on

Monday, November 29, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Southside City Hall, 2255 Southside, Alabama 35907.


The Public Hearing will be in regards to an application for a zoning variance request made by property owners Brant and Joy Tankersley. The variance location is 5915 Peninsula Point, Southside, Alabama 35907. The property is zoned MHA-Mobile Home Area.


The applicant wishes to place a 20x40 swimming pool on the side yard of his single family residential home. The applicant owns two parcels of land on Peninsula Point as shown on the attached map.


The applicant is requesting a variance so as he can place the swimming pool on the side yard in lieu of the rear yard as required by the Southside Zoning Ordinance 0-231-04.


All persons interested in the above variance are urged to attend the public hearing which is held to provide an opportunity for public comments. As required this notice has been posted in three public places within the city limits of the City of Southside and at the Southside city hall.
